INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO FORMING BUSINESS FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMPETENCE IN FUTURE SPECIALISTS OF APPLIED NATURAL SCIENCES

The article is devoted to the study and theoretical justification of the implementation of modern methods of teaching business English in higher educational institutions of the natural sciences. The relevance of the work is due to the need to train competitive specialists in applied fields – veterinary medicine and zoophysiotherapy – for effective professional communication in the context of globalization of the scientific space. The study clarifies the concept of “business foreign language competence” and outlines the specifics of teaching a business foreign language in higher education institutions of a natural science profile. The article highlights three key aspects of the transformation of the modern methodological system: the implementation of content-language integrated learning (CLIL), the digitalization of the educational process, and the creation of an ecological educational environment. The author details practical cases of using CLIL technologies, where a foreign language serves as a tool for accessing international databases (PubMed, RCVS). Particular attention is paid to the use of digital innovations: VR simulations for virtual diagnostics, artificial intelligence for modeling professional interaction scenarios, and specialized platforms for animal diagnostics. It has been proven that the environmental friendliness of the educational environment, which is based on methods of linguistic and psychological support (Scaffolding), resource saving (paperless approach), and relevance of content, contributes to overcoming the language barrier and the formation of an empathetic professional identity. The article explains the role of a foreign language teacher in CLIL classes using digital technologies. It outlines an algorithm for working on diagnostic charts, reports, presentations, proposal letters and other types of business documentation necessary for the future professional activities of veterinary students and zoophysiotherapists. It is concluded that the proposed integrated training model provides a high level of foreign language professional competence and graduates’ readiness for international grant and scientific and production activities.
