Author Guidelines

By the fact of submitting material to “Agora. Social Sciences Journal”, the author agrees to the journal's current editorial policy, ethical principles of article review, open access policy, copyright and privacy statements.
Thank you for choosing to submit your paper to us. These instructions will ensure we have everything required so your paper can move through peer review, production and publication smoothly. Please take the time to read and follow them as closely as possible, as doing so will ensure your paper matches the journal’s requirements.

The text of the article should contain the following elements:

  • introduction (statement of the problem);
  • an analysis of recent research and publications;
  • research methods and data
  • results and discussion/research findings;
  • conclusions.

Articles not previously published are accepted for publication in the journal. The author is responsible for the content of articles and accuracy of citations. The editorial board reserves the right to edit the research text linguistically. The editorial board may not share the philosophical beliefs and conceptual positions of the authors. If necessary, the Editorial Board may send the article to the author for revision.
The Editorial Board considers for publication single articles of authors without scientific degrees in exceptional cases.

Papers may be submitted in Word, OpenOffice or RTF. The text is typed in 12 point font with 1.5 line interval. Please include a word count for your paper. A typical paper for this journal should be between 4000 and 6000 words.
We consider manuscripts that come in one of three forms:

  • Longer articles (4000 – 8000 words) based on empirical and/or theoretical work.
  • Commentaries and short opinion pieces of 1000 – 2000 words.

References in the text are given in brackets and contain the author's name, year of publication and page number. The Harvard citation style is used.

The author should follow citation ethics and not manipulate citations in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

At the end of the article an unnumbered alphabetical list of cited literature is given according to the Harvard format. You can also prepare a bibliographic description using an online constructor or automatically using Mendeley, EndNote and Zotero.
